2020: A Year of Timelines
These screenshots show many of the timelines I edited in 2020. 43 of them, to be exact. The vast majority of them were also filmed by yours truly. After such a weird and exhausting year, it’s nice to look back and remember that I still got to film and edit a tonne of videos even despite the chaos.
Not every timeline I edited is shown here, but probably >85%. I skipped over a handful that were hilariously simple from very minor videos, or that I thought were otherwise uninteresting.
Although I am by and large a Final Cut Pro Editor, you’ll notice a few Davinci Resolve timelines towards the end. This was part of my investigation into whether Resolve could replace Final Cut as my main editor (Spoiler alert: it’s not looking good for Resolve).
I hope you enjoy looking at this little “art” project as much as I do. If you’re an editor and want to chat about editing, email me. If you’re a potential client who would like to hire me to film and edit your videos, definitely email me.
